I saw your posting. It happened to me 35 yrs before when I graduated in Trichy. I got first rank in my Major( BSc) and wanted to join MSc. I was denied because I am a FC and the seat was given to the 10th rank friend of mine (he is rich BC). Same frustration and disappointment I had before. I hate Tamil Nadu and its the politics. Now I am in US and working respectfully and treated equally.
There is no organized movement for Brahmin in Tamil Nadu. Still we are divided into Vadakali, Thenkali, Iyer and Iyengar. I strongly recommend that all the present generation youngsters should not see these differences for the marriage.

I agree to your views whole-heartedly. I really don’t find so much apathy that Vadagalai and Thenkalai nurture between them. There are’nt much differences between them though.
One difference, which I observed was the number of times shastank namaskarams would be made. Am I right?
